Who is better in Twilight: Edward Cullen or Jacob Black?

Since this question is subjective, I cannot decide for you, but I can give some evidence in favor of each candidate.

When considering Jacob, you might think of words like warm, loyal, and jealous. The main thing Jacob has going for him is that he is alive. He can transform into a werewolf, but spends the majority of his time as a human.

When considering Edward, you might think of cold, brooding, and strong. Edward is (according to the book) exceedingly attractive, well spoken, and rich. However, he is dead, and if you are a human, he will constantly thirst after your blood and have trouble restraining himself.

Ultimately, Bella chooses Edward, so you can use that as evidence towards Edward being "better." Personally, though, I am team Jacob. Although he may come across as immature, safety is important, and Edward feels too volatile.

I suppose it is a matter of whether you prefer vampires or werewolves.  Personally, werewolves seem a little less scary to me.  Once you are bitten by one you become one, but at least they don’t kill you.  What would be the point?  A vampire, on the other hand, kills you by sucking all of your blood.
