Who came to Mrs. Robinson's rescue in To Kill a Mockingbird?

Quick answer:

Link Deas came to Mrs. Robinson's rescue. After Tom Robinson's death, Bob Ewell harassed Helen Robinson on her way to work. Link Deas, her employer, intervened by confronting Bob Ewell and threatening legal action if the harassment continued. He warned Ewell at his home and later at his store, ensuring that Ewell ceased his threatening behavior towards Helen.

In chapter 27, Scout mentions that Link Deas not only offered Helen Robinson a job after Tom passed away but also came to her rescue when Bob Ewell began to threaten her on a daily basis. On Helen's walk to work, Bob Ewell "chunked at her," which influenced Helen to begin walking a mile out of her way to avoid walking past the Ewell home. Link Deas eventually became aware that Helen was walking out of her way to avoid Bob Ewell, and he made it a point to stop at the Ewell home and address the issue. Link Deas told Bob Ewell,

I know every last one of you's in there a-layin' on the floor! Now hear me, Bob Ewell: if I hear one more peep outa my girl Helen about not bein’ able to walk this road I’ll have you in jail before sundown! (Lee, 253)

next morning, Bob Ewell followed Helen all the way to work "crooning foul words." Helen ended up calling Link Deas, who arrived at his store to find Bob Ewell leaning on the fence. Link Deas once again came to Helen's defense by threatening to charge Bob Ewell with assault or get him on the "Ladies's Law."

Overall, Link Deas comes to Helen Robinson's defense by standing up to Bob Ewell and threatening to call the authorities on him if he continued to bother her.

Despite the death of Tom Robinson at the hands of prison guards, Bob Ewell was not satisfied with the outcome since he and his daughter, Mayella, had been ridiculed by Atticus in front of most of the town. So he began harrassing Tom's wife, Helen, on her way to work, following along behind her, making obsecene remarks, and "chunking" things at her. But her employer, Link Deas, came to the rescue. He paid a visit to the Ewell house, but no one appeared. He called out a warning to them. But the next day, Helen reported more problems. When Deas saw Ewell leaning against a fence near his store, he told Ewell to "get your stinkin' carcass off my property," and promised to get Sheriff Tate involved if Helen reported any further problems. There were none.
