The line comes from Chopin's short story, "The Storm."  Naturally, there is much in way of passion and intensity contained in the line.  The idea of the woman's passion being in "generous abundance" and in the purest of forms (without guile and trickery) helps to evoke an intensity of feeling for the other.  The use of the term "penetrated" might be deliberate in terms of discussing the feelings that the man has, a "sensuous" experience that had yet to be felt.  This line helps to bring out the idea of two people experiencing carnal love with a zeal that has been unrecognized in their previous lives apart from one another and unacknowledged in these settings.  It is a very good line to bring out the feelings that two people hold for one another, emotions and sensations that know little in way of boundaries and certainly cannot be contained through socially conventional institutions, conditions, and mannerisms.
