First, diversity can benefit the whole community by providing a depth of perspectives.  From an educator's perspective, children benefit, not just educationally but also socially, from being exposed to a variety of cultures and experiences. 

Furthermore, diversity can benefit the whole community by enriching the cultural outlook of the children in that community, ensuring a broader appreciation and acceptance of others for the future.  Children in diverse schools and communities generally have a much richer view of the society and the world, because they have been exposed to other perspectives, difference from their own.  They have had to learn how either to appreciate viewpoints that may differ from their own, or accept others from different cultures, religions, or economic status.  In turn, these children are able to develop a much more evolved sense of cultural sensitivity, which will benefit them hugely in higher education and the work place
