In William Shakespeare's classic play Romeo and Juliet Lady Capulet has a very complex relationship with her daughter Juliet. In the beginning of the play we see them discussing the possibility of Paris as a husband. We see in this discussion that Juliet is very submissive to the will of her mother stating,

I'll look to like, if looking liking move:/But no more deep will I endart mine eye/Than your consent gives strength to make it fly

Lady Capulet would certainly recognize this quality and remember this after the death of her daughter. Later, after Juliet has married Romeo, Juliet changes this attitude of blind obedience. Lady Capulet announces that she is to be married to Paris and when telling Capulet that Juliet objects states that "I would the fool were married to her grave".

Lady Capulet would have noticed the changes in Juliet's attitude and personality as the play went on. She loved Juliet very much and upon Juliet's first death she is utterly heart-broken and devastated. She refers to Juliet as "My child, my only life!" and tells her to "Revive, look up, or I will die with thee!"

Upon the real death of Juliet she would again be upset, but you must take into consideration that she already grieved this death and did not know she lived until she found out she was dead again. As for her feelings toward the knowledge of the relationship with Romeo, we are led to believe that the parents all felt guilty for putting their children in such a position that they killed themselves due to the hatred between their families.
