My favorite line of the hymn is this one:

Gloom hid in gloom existed first – one sea, eluding view.
That One, a void in chaos wrapt, by inward fervour grew.

To me personally, I see something coming from nothing, and good coming from gloom.  It is a beautiful idea that from chaos came beauty.  It speaks to me because it is simple and beautiful too.
