What ideology does Rolling Stone Magazine communicate?

Rolling Stone very clearly communicates that its ideology is extremely liberal and anti-establishment.  It does this in at least two ways.

First, it publishes political articles that do not pretend to be neutral.  It published one article last year, for example, in which it called Governor Rick Perry "The Best Little Whore in Texas."  By writing this sort of headline, the magazine clearly shows its political ideology.

Second, the magazine uses curse words quite liberally.  These are words that are not generally used in magazines that aspire to be read by "polite company."  By using these words, the magazine is signalling that it does not care to abide by the sorts of social conventions that "establishment America" follows.
