We need the value of k for which -x+k=2x-1 and 2x+4=4(x-2) have the same solution.

2x + 4 = 4(x - 2)

=> 2x + 4 = 4x - 8

=> 2x = 12

=> x = 6

Substitute x = 6 in -x + k = 2x - 1

=> -6 + k = 2*6 - 1

=> k = 12 + 6 - 1

=> k = 17

The required value is k = 17
