When a coin is flipped, it can either falls heads up or tails up. The die when rolled can show one of the numbers from 1 to 6 of which 3 numbers 2, 4 and 6 are even.

This gives the probability of the coin showing heads as (1/2) and the probability of the die showing an even number is 1/2. The combined probability of both happening is 1/4.

The required probability is 1/4
