An illustration of the letter 'A' in a speech bubbles

`98.281=100((1-82)/(360x))` To solve for x, the first thing to do is to multiply both sides by 360x to get the variable out of the denominator of the fraction.

`35,381.16x=100(-81)` We simplify the expression further and we get `35,381.16x=-8100` We divide both sides by 35,381.16 and we find `x=-8100/(35,381.16)~~-0.2289`

However, since your question didn't use the math writing function, it could also be interpreted as meaning

`98.281=100(1-82/(360x))` In this case, we have to simplify first.  By multiplying the binomial by 100.

`98.281=100-8200/(360x)`  Then we isolate the fraction by subtracting 100 from each side, and that yields:
`-1.719=-8200/(360x)` We multiply each side by -1 to make the equation positive, `1.719=8200/(360x)` Once again we multiply each side by 360x to get the variable out of the denominator and we get

`618.84x=8200` divide by 618.84, and we get `x=8200/618.84=15471/2050~~13.25`
