The Prince from Antoine St. Exupery’s Le Petit Prince lives on a minuscule asteroid some distance from Earth. Being the sole proprietor of his own little asteroid, the Prince has many duties to keep up with the asteroid, mainly involving diligent cleaning and groundskeeping duties.

There are three small volcanoes on the surface of the planet. He has to keep these cleaned out frequently to ensure they don’t get clogged or overrun. Additionally, he has to constantly prune the vegetation that grows up on the surface. Of particular interest are the baobab trees, which grow quickly in the small world’s dirt. He has to diligently sweep the asteroid daily to see if any trees are cropping up and must immediately uproot them or else they will rapidly grow out of control and the roots will overtake the asteroid. He also diligently prunes and cares for the rose, which he cherishes.
