Where you would search for a missing an elderly Alzheimer’s patient?

In many cases, it will be hard to know where to look as the patient might simply have wandered off randomly.  In such a case, there is no way to know where to look.

Outside of that, the most likely place to look would be in places that had been familiar to the patient in times gone by.  Early in Alzheimer's, patients often have problems with short-term memory loss but retain the ability to remember things about the more distant past.  For this reason, it seems possible that the patient would have gone back to an old home or an old neighborhood.
