Kenneth Lonergan achieved success in Hollywood with his screenplay You Can Count on Me (2001). He also earned screenwriting credit for Analyze This (1999) and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000); however, the film version of Analyze This does not correspond closely to Lonergan’s draft.

Kenneth Lonergan’s You Can Count on Me received an Academy Award nomination in 2001 for best original screenplay and was voted best screenplay by the New York Film Critics Circle and the Sundance Film Festival.
