The Journey of the Mind to God, by Giovanni Di Fidanza, is not traditional literature with characters. The text is more of a "self-help"–style book that outlines the seven paths a believer needs to take in order to walk with God and possess a spiritual mindfulness.
It is directed to the reader, and there are no characters according to the literary definition of a character moving the plot forward and interacting with a scene and other characters. Instead, this is an instructional book that allows the reader to take in information and then better their life with it.
This book is written as an instructional manual for best-practiced life and, as such, does not really have characters that can be listed. If you are really needing a true list of people that the book addresses, you could go the route of stating that God and the reader are the two main characters, but again, that statement would be rather unusual based on what the role of a character is in literature.
