Jennifer Weiner, labeled by some as the doyenne of "chick lit," is an extremely successful author whose novels have sold over eleven million copies in thirty-six countries around the world. All of her novels have raced to the top of best-seller lists nationwide. In Her Shoes was released in 2002 following Weiner's overwhelming success with the 2001 release of her first novel, Good in Bed. While Weiner's sophomore effort had big "shoes" to fill, Shoes did so with no trouble. Critics found her second novel to be every bit as enjoyable as her first.
