Linoleum Roses Summary
Sally married so young that she had to have the wedding in another state, where it is legal to marry before eighth grade. Her husband is a marshmallow salesman she met at the school bazaar. Sally says that she is in love and enjoys being married, but her husband has a violent temper and does not let her look out of the window, talk on the telephone, or see her friends. She sits at home, looking at the possessions they have bought and the linoleum roses on the floor.
