Darius is generally a stupid boy, who does not like school, chases the girls with firecrackers, and generally does not say much. Once, however, he said something that Esperanza thought very wise. He looked up at the sky and pointed out a cloud and said that it was God. A small child asked “God?” and he simply replied “God.”
