Cathy Queen of Cats Summary
Cathy claims to be “the great great grand cousin of the queen of France.” She gossips about her neighbors on Mango Street, telling Esperanza whom to avoid. Cathy has a great many cats of all ages, shapes, and sizes all around her house. She complains that the neighborhood is deteriorating, forgetting that Esperanza and her family have just moved there.
