St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries

Professor McGonagall ushers Harry directly to Dumbledore’s office, where Harry proceeds to tell Dumbledore all about the dream. Harry is fairly embarrassed that he “was” the snake that attacked Arthur Weasley, so Harry tries to avoid that fact in the first explanation. Of course, Dumbledore immediately asks Harry from what perspective he had this dream. Similar to what happened in Courtroom Ten in the Ministry of Magic, Dumbeldore never looks Harry in the eye.

As soon as Dumbledore realizes that Arthur Weasley is most likey in grave peril, he enlists the help of the former headmasters of Hogwarts (from their portraits on the wall) and asks them to go and observe things in other places. The various headmasters return with the information that Arthur Weasley does, in fact, look gravely injured; that the family has taken him to St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries; and that Sirius Black also has been informed of the issue and is ready to welcome the Weasleys at Grimmauld Place so they can have easy access to the hospital.

Dumbledore prepares a portkey for the transportation of Harry and the Weasley children to Grimmauld Place. Immediately before everyone touches the portkey, Harry looks into Dumbledore’s eyes and feels intense, indescribable rage. Harry wants nothing more than to kill Dumbledore at that very moment. He immediately feels confusion and regret for these thoughts.

The mood in Grimmauld Place is quite tense as the Weasleys, Sirius, and Harry wait for the okay to visit the hospital where Arthur Weasley is being treated. After a while, Fawkes appears with a message from Mrs. Weasley: Arthur Weasley is still alive and she will come to Grimmauld Place to get them soon.

When Harry pulls Sirius aside to tell him about the strange rage he felt upon looking into Dumbledore’s eyes, Sirius brushes the experience aside. Harry is a bit upset at Sirius’ nonchalant attitude and continues to worry about the experience. No one can sleep at all until Mrs. Weasley arrives in the wee small hours of the morning.

It isn’t long before Tonks, the Auror, and Mad-Eye Moody come to take Harry and the Weasley children to the hospital to see Arthur Weasley. After exploring the front desk and the names of the various wards in the hospital, they realize that Arthur Weasley is on the floor slated for “Serious Bites.”

Arthur Weasley is sitting up in bed and in good spirits, which lifts everyone’s mood. Fred and George mention that Mr. Weasley was probably on “guard duty” when he was attacked by the snake. The mention of this makes Mr. and Mrs. Weasley change the subject completely and eventually usher the children out of the room so they can talk more freely.

Luckily Fred and George have brought along a pair of their Extendable Ears. As they listen to the conversation, they learn that Voldemort may be “possessing” Harry. The Weasleys look at Harry, “suddenly fearful.”
