What does Herbert reveal about Miss Havisham's pre-wedding life to Pip?

You can find the answer to this in Chapter 22.  This is the first time that Herbert and Pip have met since they had that fight at Miss Havisham's house long ago.  Herbert tells Pip a bunch of stuff about Miss Havisham's life.

  • She was a spoiled child.
  • She had a half-brother who was kind of wild and made their dad really mad.
  • She was wooed by some guy who got lots of money from her and then left her.  Before he did, Matthew Pocket warned her about him but she got mad at Pocket for that.
