HEMINGWAY SUICIDES
- Ernest Hemingway committed suicide in Ketchum, Idaho by shooting himself in the mouth with a shotgun on July 2, 1961. He was disconsolate because of failing health.
- Clarence Hemingway, Ernest's father, shot himself with his father's handgun on December 6, 1928. His son, Leicester, was apparently the first to find him, dying in his bed.
- Leicester Hemingway, Ernest's brother, committed suicide in 1982 after complications of Type II Diabetes.
- Ursula Hemingway, Ernest's sister, deliberately overdosed on drugs on October 30, 1966. She was suffering from cancer and depression.
- Margaux Hemingway, 41, Ernest's granddaughter, overdosed on phenobarbitol on July 1, 1996, one day before the anniversary of her grandfather's own suicide. She was a model and actress.
