Dead Wake is a book about the sinking of the Lusitania. This ship came from New York, and it was one of the fastest civilian ships running at the time. The problem was that there was some arrogance involved in those planning the voyage of the ship, since, according to Dead Wake, they thought their ship was too fast even for a German U-boat to catch up to in the open sea.

The book also analyzes the mentality of the U-boat captain on the other side. His name was Walther Schiwieger. He had a reputation for being ruthless among captains. There’s also the fact that Germany had warned England about any ship moving through the lanes the morning the Lusitania was sunk.

In other words, the book focuses deeply on bringing you right into the actions and perspectives of both sides of the conflict in order to provide you with a clear understanding of what occurred.
