"Death Will Seize The Doctor Too"
Context: King Cymbeline of Britain, dominated by his wicked queen and her arrogant son, Cloten, refuses to pay tribute to Rome. As a result, Rome makes preparations to invade Britain. Meanwhile, Cloten, pressing an odious suit for the hand of Imogen, his step-sister, follows her when she flees the court. He comes to grief, and the queen, his mother, hears nothing further from him. During the Roman invasion, the queen goes mad over the disappearance of Cloten. Now just as Cymbeline is victorious over the invaders, word is brought by Cornelius, a physician, that the queen is dead.
CORNELIUS
Hail great King,
To sour your happiness, I must report
The Queen is dead.
CYMBELINE
Who worse than a physician
Would this report become? But I consider
By medicine life may be prolonged, yet death
Will seize the doctor too. How ended she?
