Act 4, Scenes 7, 8, and 9 Summary
Caesar's forces under Agrippa call retreat in scene 7. Eros tells Antony of his victory, and Antony promises the wounded soldier Scarus a reward for his loyalty and valor.
The celebration begins in scene 8 as Antony thanks his soldiers and tells Cleopatra of the victory. They go off to make merry, knowing that the war will resume the next day.
The tormented Enobarbus dies in scene 9, still deeply regretting his choice to abandon Antony. He calls out to Antony, begging forgiveness, and then falls over dead. The witnessing soldiers at first think he has merely fainted, but they realize otherwise and carry him off.
