Chapter 67 Summary
Tyrion lies in bed, seriously wounded and dreaming. He sees all of the people that died at his order. He remembers Tysha, the first woman he ever loved. He married her and was later told that Jaime hired her for him. He dreams that he sees his father and Cersei standing over him, though Tyrion dismisses this as a dream because Lord Tywin must still be in the field. When Tyrion next wakes up, there is a plaster on his face and he struggles to breathe. A maester comes, asks if he is thirsty, and when Tyrion nods, the maester feeds him milk of the poppy. Tyrion dreams again. When he next wakes, he grabs the chain around the maester's throat and twists it. The cowed maester removes Tyrion's plaster and brings him a mirror. Tyrion looks at his face in the mirror. A scar crosses his face, and his nose is all but gone. The maester informs Tyrion that Lord Tywin has returned, and that he has taken Tyrion's chambers in the Tower of the Hand. Tyrion has the maester bring Podrick Payne. When Tyrion's squire arrives, Tyrion tells him to forget about killing Ser Mandon Moore. Now, Pod must go and get Tyrion dreamwine—and Bronn.
