Have you been published?

Just taking a quick, informal survey to see how many teachers in our community have been published in a peer-reviewed journal. If you have, please share with us the name of the journal and a link to your work. If you haven't been published in a journal, would you be interested in submitting your work to one?

I have never been published, but I consider enotes publishing. I have had a couple of lesson plans accepted.  I consider that quite an achievement.  I wish I had time to do more of them!  Alas, answering questions is fun and satisfies that need in me for now.

Yes, I've been published in some journals and some anthologies and proceedings. I've had reviews published in The Pomegranate, and chapter essays in conference proceedings books on some diverse topics, including poetry, film, and the modern pagan movement. I have also co-edited two scholarly anthologies, one from Ashgate Press in 2009 (here is the link) and one forthcoming from Macfarland.

Here is a link to another chapter.

I have published a book entitled The Best of Me which can be found on Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/Best-Me-Collection-Short-Stories/dp/1453679464/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1288904038&sr=8-1. I have also published an article for The Academy of Korean Studies entitled "The Hero: Korean Literary Perspective on the Timeless Ideal" which can be found at http://www.ikorea.ac.kr/webzine/1007/column_eng.asp. I would be interested in publishing more work.

I've always been on the other side of publishing--not writing but preparing the material to be published. I've never really been interested in writing anything myself until the past couple of years. I would like to take a stab at writing--whether it gets published or not.

I haven't submitted to journals, but for ten years I worked in public relations for a fairly large public school district. One of my duties was writing news and feature stories for the district's employee newsletter (talk about peer-review!) and for the district's community newsletter that was mailed to all the households and businesses in the district. I also freelanced two feature stories that were published in a local business journal.

I would be interested in submitting to journals, something I haven't considered lately. Thanks for asking!

I published a book of poetry, Spanish Crosses, in 2001, through a small northwestern press.  Have published individual poems in journals and a few articles on education since then, but no other books.

No published journal entries, but I've had hundreds of stories published in several newspapers during my old sports writing days in the 1980s. I've also had a few stories appear in regional magazines.

I haven't been published in a journal, but I have been published as a freelance columnist for a NC newspaper in Havelock, NC.  I wrote weekly for them for three years.  I have also had a few poems published, and a couple of editorials in an English newspaper published in South Korea.

As far as being published in a peer-reviewed journal, I would love the opportunity.

I finally have time to write and am working on two works of non-fiction.  Haven't really thought about journal-writing in years--too busy--but I probably should.  Thanks for the reminder.

I have never been published but am interested in writing for a journal. I used to think about writing fiction, but the more I teach nonfiction--especially essays and memoirs--the more I enjoy reading and writing it.

While I have not been published in a traditional journal, I have had two pieces of writing published in the National Writing Project's National Gallery of Writing. These pieces were peer reviewed by other writers on that organizations website. However, I would love to know the process for and the journals that would consider me for publication.

I haven't been published in a journal, but I would be interested in submitting my work to one. I guess it would depend a lot on what kind of journal and what precisely they are after in terms of topic, theme, and word count.

You can check out the books, The One Hour Student and The Holy Cow at amazon.com. But the most important books are published by Korean publishers, so if you can read Korean typeface, you should be able to view them at http://www.kyobobook.co.kr, then just scroll down to author and type my name.

Someone was actually looking for me on here and typed into a question, "Does anyone know about the writer Eric Pollock and another teacher typed in the answer with a profile that I did not know I had somewhere listing a few of the books I wrote with English titles.

Also, if you type my name and mystery stories, I have a few journal articles somewhere around.

You can find one article at the Asian EFLJournal:
