“SITS THE WIND IN THAT CORNER” “SITS THE WIND IN THAT CORNER?” asks Benedick in Much Ado about Nothing, and he was once thought to be mutating the older phrase “Sits the wind in that door?” But the second edition of the OED has found an earlier use of “corner,” from 1562.
