About
I am a secondary school teacher in Golden Bay, New Zealand and teach all years--9-13(comparable to American grades 8-12). I am Head of the English Department, responsible for administering the national curriculum and the standardised NCEA qualifications within the school. I am a published author. My book, "Sea Songs; Readers Theatre from the South Pacific" takes Maori myths and legends and puts them into readers theatre scripts for high school classroom use. It was published in 2004 by Teacher Ideas Press, New Hampshire. I am originally from Oregon where I received my teacher training, and have also taught for six years in Colorado. I have been in New Zealand from 1988-1997 and, after the six years in Colorado, returned to NZ in 2004.
