I attended Catholic schools until high school graduation. I graduated from St. Peter's College in New Jersey with a degree in science and teaching. After moving to Louisiana, I attended LSU, earning 2 Master's degrees ( in Nutrition and Psychology), doing graduate work in Sociology and earning a Ph.D. in Psychology. I am the mother of 2 adult sons who have taught me more than I have taught them and I am very proud of this. I taught as a teaching assistant at LSU and as adjunct faculty in several local universities. I have been teaching Physical Science and, sometimes, Psychology in a large urban public high school. I am also active in being moderator of our ERASE (End racism and sexism everywhere) club and serve as mentor to many of our members. I love what I do and cannot see myself doing anything else. I do not teach. I AM A TEACHER! I think this led me to be active in my sons' education as school and scout volunteer.
