About
I am a public high school teacher in the wonderful state of Arizona and I teach 9th grade honors and regular English classes. I love to help my students succeed and I love to teach my units in creative and fun ways. For example, during our study of Romeo and Juliet, I asked students and parents to donate costumes and plastic swords, and we acted out the entire play in class. The students loved it and learned so much more than they would have just sitting in their seats reading the play. I have also lived overseas in China for three years teaching English literature to Chinese university students. During my stay in China, I studied Mandarin Chinese and am quite fluent in the language.
