Sometimes I appreciate what marketing does, and other times I resent it!  I especially resent telemarketers intruding upon my life and trying to sell me something I don't need, want, or think about. 

I have such a bad taste in my mouth about marketing that I fail to see the good in it at times.  I know it's a huge boon to companies and essential to their prosperity, but I wish their campaigns to sell wouldn't involve me!

The Brain Surgeon ad is pretty cute though!

I have seen this ad as well.  It's pretty funny.  If you type in "brain surgeon ad" on youtube, it pops right up.  Marketing is a huge industry, and the persuasive strategies used in advertising are a valuable skill to have, no matter what your occupation is.

I have come to appreciate marketing more and more in the recent years. I used to get really upset when commercials only portrayed stereotypical people in their advertising. Nowadays, it seems that the marketing world has opened up to the changes seen in society.

My favorite commercial today is the one where the brain surgeon is stimulating the nerves in the patient on the operating table. While a little sexist, I appreciate the humor.
