This is a great question. Let me give you a few suggestions.

First, if you have many retail stores and one warehouse, it will be important to have good communications. For example, a product might be very popular in on area and not so much in another. With good communication, you will have the right product at the right store. This will save on transportation costs (which can be a lot) and increase sales.

Second, in connection to the first point, the stores should always collaborate with each other as well. Since they are all part of the same network, they should meet regularly to share strategies and help each other out in any way. For example, if there is a way of telling customers of the other locations, then this would help in future sales.

Third, the warehouse has an important role to play in the area of control. They need to make sure that all the merchandise is in good order and delivered to the right locations. This might sound simple, but there are always errors, which costs time and money. So, the warehouse should develop a system where there are many checks and balances to ensure that the right merchandise goes to the right store.
