Pharmacy as a major is great, as pharmacists make a good living and the job market is fairly stable. 

If you are studying to be a pharmacist, there are a few important qualities that might help you. 

First, it is important to be good in the sciences. The reason for this should be obvious, as pharmacists are dealing with drugs. So, it is important to have a scientific background. In particular, it would be good to excel in chemistry. 

Second, pharmacists also need to deal with people. So, some people skills are necessary. For this reason, taking a few courses in communications might be helpful.
