I would define globalization as a political phenomenon. Previously, politics only played a role at the national level, and governments were tasked with ensuring the safety and economic prosperity of the people. However, global political activity has resulted in various integration schemes like the European Union. Besides, global politics led to the formation of international regulators such as the World Trade Organization. Non-governmental organizations, like the United Nations, have also contributed to the creation of alliances between different countries, such as the Global Alliance. Global politics has led to international trade, with the establishment of agreements such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Common Market for Eastern and South Africa (COMESA). Therefore, global politics plays a vital role in advancing the economies of many countries around the world.
