The expression xy + 7e^y = 7e relates x and y. At the point x = 0, to determine the value of y, substitute 0 for x in xy + 7e^y = 7e

=> 0*y + 7*e^y = 7e

=> 7*e^y = 7e

=> e^y = e

=> y = 1

If xy + 7e^y = 7e, when x = 0, y = 1.
