To write a summary, read the scene and then tell the important events that occur and dialogue that is said.  Break the scene up into parts to make it easier.

To start, for Act 1.1 of Romeo and Juliet, read the opening with the two men from the house of Capulet.  The summary would read something like this:

Alone on stage, Sampson and Gregory tease each other about which one is braver while they joke about and threaten the Montagues who, apparently, are a rival family.  Their dialogue reveals their hatred for the Montagues.

You can add more details depending on how detailed your summary is supposed to be.

Next, two Mantagues enter the stage, and Sampson and Gregory try to provoke them.  It works, and they end up fighting.  One of the Montagues, though, Benvolio, doesn't want to fight and tries to keep the peace.  He fails.  Citizens, apparently fed up with this kind of feuding, attack the fighters, then the heads of both families arrive on the scene.

From that point on, just read the rest of the scene and write out the summary.  Summarizing is a valuable learning tool and will help you get a handle on what's happening in the scene.

The above answer addresses all of Act 1. If you are looking for scene i specifically, there is a fight between servants of the Montagues and servants of the Capulets. Benvolio comes in to break it up, then Tybalt gets it going again. Lord Capulet and Lord Montague swing by wanting to get involved, but the Prince also comes in. This is crucial to this scene because he commands that if there is another fight between the families, the price will be death.

The Montagues remain on stage with Benvolio their nephew and he shares that he finds Romeo a little depressed and sticking to himself. They agree and ask Benvolio to find out what's wrong. We learn Romeo loves someone who doesn't love him back... but no name is revealed in scene i.

The Capulets and the Montagues are blood enemies.  They hate each other so much that even their servants fight in the street.  Benvolio, from the Montagues, and Tybalt, from the Capulets, show up and almost get in a fight.  So do Lord Montague and Lord Capulet.  After this fight, the Prince shows up gets very angry and threatens to punish any more incidents harshly.

Then we meet Romeo.  He is all sad and gloomy because he loves Rosaline and she doesn't love him.  Benvolio tells him he should get over it by checking out other girls.

There are two families, they hate eachother with a passion Capulet and Montague most of the Capulets you will see or hear is tybalt, juliet, the nurse, and lord capulet. The most of montague is romeo, mercutio, benvolio, and lord montague.

The first scene is the first fight between benvolio and tybalt. when the fight is done the prince shows up and says if you fight again i will choose the punishment and it will not be good.

Then benvolio see's romeo just sitting, depressed. Hes depressed cause of a girl, rosaline who wont love him back when he loves her. benvolio tells him to go see other girls. thats when he goes to a party at the Capulets house and meets Juliet
