Campers can cause all kinds of problems. At a minimum, they may leave litter or damage the plants. They might scare the animals and even stir them up. They could even start a fire. A camper could get injured and cause trouble or sue the land owner.

Most farms have animals on them as well as crops.  Previous campers might have harassed or mistreated his animals.  He might be angry if they entered his fields and went "cow-tipping", which is where you push over sleeping cows; usually they just fall over but it can cause harm to the animals. They might have chased the chickens; this can  stress them out and they will stop laying eggs for a while.  They might have teased his dogs or cats.  Most farmers don't want you to play with their barn cats; these cats are meant to be left in the barn to catch mice.  Any working farm usually has lots of animals that are there to work and not just to be pets.  The farmer could be irritated that the campers didn't respect his animals.
