Write a balanced chemical equation for the reaction between sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2.
The balanced chemical equation for the reaction between Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) and Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) will be as follows:
H2SO4 + Ca(OH)2 `->` Ca SO4 +2 H2O
One molecule of Sulphuric Acid and one molecule of Calcium Hydroxide will react to give one molecule of Calcium Sulphate and two molecules of Water.
FYI- Calcium Hydroxide is a base and Sulphuric acid is an acid. Whenever an acid reacts with a base, a salt is formed along with water molecules.
