Simply begin by spelling the word "assistance" vertically on page.
Now, use each of the letters as the first letter of the word in each line. For example:
Although she walked with limp and lunge,
She left her chair with resolve,
Searching for daily joys,
Insisting that today's world is new...
You could also use the same plan, but make the ends of the lines rhyme. You could also pre-determine the number of beats (stresses) you want to have in each line. The important characteristic is simply to use each letter of your assigned word to begin each line. I would also advise creating a topic for your poem which illustrates the very word "assistance" itself.
