After World War II how was Germany able to reconcile with the victors?
First of all, please remember that Germany was split into four parts after the war. One part was ruled by each of France, Britain, the US, and the USSR. The first three of these eventually merged their sections into one section. Each of these resulting two sections became an independent country.
Neither East Germany nor West Germany really reconciled with all of the victors. East Germany was a satellite state of the Soviet Union while West Germany was allied with the US and other non-communist countries. Each German country reconciled with its side because its side was eager to use it against the other. For example, then, West Germany was reconciled with its former enemies in the West because they felt they needed West Germany to help them (economically more than militarily) against the Soviet Union.
