First, we must understand that business operations do have to do with things other than people. There is certainly a technical aspect to business operations since they do involve things like the proper management of technology.
However, if we want to say that operations are all about people, we must argue that people are involved in all steps of business operations. We must then argue that management must deal with the people properly in order for operations to run smoothly. Business operations are all of the day-to-day things that are done to make a profit. Since all of these involve people, and since the people must be well-trained and well-motivated, we can say that operations are all about people.
