Why is Kriemhild so concerned for Siegfried as he leaves for the hunt?

Expert Answers

She is concerned for Siegfried because she has told Hagen about Siegfried's weakness. He has a tender spot right between his shoulder blades. The night before the hunt, she dreams that two boars are chasing Siegfried through a field of blood-colored flowers. Because she has revealed his secret weakness and because of her dream, Kriemhild is afraid that something bad will happen to her husband.
