Why do not all see God?

Nobody sees God. God is not touched even by imagination. How can we see God? God enters some medium and becomes visible through that medium (through Lord in human form or Son of God). Through that medium also you are experiencing only the existence God. Only experience of existence is possible. There is no way to see God directly. The current cannot be seen directly. When it flows in a wire only its existence can be experienced.

Different religions have different approaches to God. Most religions have some way in which people can interact wth God, usually through some form of praying. There are even some religions where some people claim to see God in certain rituals or instances.

I am not sure if by seeing God you mean an actual physical vision of God or not. I however would agree with the above post that we are able to look around us each day and see evidence that God truly exists.

This seems to be a subjective discussion, so one thing I will add is that while God might not be visible in physical, human form there is evidence of him on a daily basis. The perfectly constructed rhythm and pattern of the seasons, the tides, the sunrise and sunset--all are evidence of God. There are doctors who treat virtually untreatable medical conditions and offer little to no hope for recovery, and yet miraculous recoveries occur--all are evidence of God.

My mother's death as tragically sad as it was for my was accomplished with little suffering and a mind fully competent till the end--this is evidence of God.

dattaswami:  It seems you already have the answers.  What are you looking for in this discussion?  In other words, what is your purpose in starting this discussion?  Are you proselytizing?

I don't understand what you're saying:  one entry you say that no one sees God, but in your second entry you say that we see him in human form.  Which is it?

Also, you say that we know this Son of God because he teaches "wonderful divine knowledge."  Who makes this conclusion?  What if what he preaches doesn't seem so divine to me?

The absolute GOd is invisible and unimaginable to us human beings. The absoulte God or Heavenly Father created this universe and it is like a dream to Him. He enters into His own dream or imagiantion, by coming in human form to our plane of existence. Then He is called as Human incarnation. Thus by seeing Human incarnation you can see the invisible God, since He pervades the Human Incarnation just like a current in a wire.

Such Human incarnation preaches wonderful divine knoweldge. You are the sole authority decide whether He is human incarnation or not based on you own analysis of His knowledge.

Different people have different notions of God. Answer to whether or not someone can see see God very much dependent on the concept of God have in mind. As per many concepts, God is not a physical being at all that can be perceived by our physical senses. As per some other concepts. God may exist in physical form.

Even the concepts of physical God, concept do not consider God to be easily perceptible to all. Gods of this type are not supposed to reveal themselves to any one without a purpose, which has to be for the general good of the world.

Even though God is unimaginable for invisible, He comes in human form to us by entering the most deserving devotee existing in this world known as Son of God. By seeing SOn of GOd you have seen the invisible God present in Him. The identity mark of Son of God is that He preaches wonderful divine knoweldge.
