In "The Laramie Project", also called "The Laramie Project Cycle", the head of the theater department at the university was Rebecca Hilliker.
Hilliker has recently moved to Wyoming, and finds that her students are different from those she has taught before; they speak their minds, and this creates a different sort of classroom dynamic. She feels that, while she may not agree with their opinions, the fact that they have opinions is exciting, and she wants to encourage that trait.
Hilliker fulfills the role of the classic "teacher" archetype; she is an academic, prizes education and individuation, and sees the good in her students. She also clearly knows what to do with student opinions; while some teachers would interpret this as defiance or argument, she seeks to cultivate these students into even stronger "free thinkers".
