Who is Trace Adkins, and what is he best known for?
Trace Adkins was born on January 13, 1962. Although he has worked in movies and television, he is best known as a country music artist. In 1996 he released his debut album, Dreaming Out Loud. The album featured three charting singles, including Adkins’ first number one song, “(This Ain’t) No Thinking Thing.”
Adkins has released a total of 13 studio albums, the most successful of which came in 2005 with the double platinum Songs About Me.
Through 2013, he had produced 37 charting singles, including four number ones.
Adkins has also appeared in 11 movies, including The Lincoln Lawyer, and several television series, including numerous appearances on King of the Hill. He will appear in four episodes of the upcoming 2015 television mini-series, To Appomattox.
Adkins is a spokesman for The Wounded Warrior, an organization that aids injured soldiers returning from duty.
