Who are the main characters in Brave New World?
The main characters are Bernard Marx, Lenina Crowne, John the Savage, the Controller Mustapha Mond, and Linda. Other than John, all of these characters are test tube babies in a futuristic world. As a disutopian novel, this work shows how the future and technology can have a devastating effect on the development of humanity. Each character is bred into a particular class of people who are genetically formed to have a specific level of intelligence suited to a specific job. Values and behaviors are impressed on the young ones through sleep conditioning messages played over and over, eliminating the need of a family unit to raise children.
