Who looked after Ponyboy when his brother went to work?

Ponyboy is basically on his own--at least free of adult supervision--whenever Darry is at work, which is most of the time since he often works a double-shift. They really don't have much choice, since the Curtis brothers' parents were killed in a car wreck, and there is no mention of grandparents or other relatives. Of course, Pony has his extended family--the rest of his greaser gang--to look after him. Two-Bit, the oldest member of the group aside from Darry, spends a great deal of time at the Curtis house. When Soda is not working, he is often at home with his pal, Steve. Johnny is also around for company as well.
