Which are the three general classification of enzymes?

3. Food enzymes help the digestive process

The type of enzyme depends on the type of desired reaction.

Digestive enzymes are produced by the salivary gland in the digestive tract. It basically aids in the digestion of food, then comes absorption by cells and then delivery of nutrients throughout the body.
The 3 most important enzymes for digestion are:-

- amylase, which digests carbohydrates;
- lipase, which digests fat.
