While many people have suffered from this, it is safe to say that those who have suffered the most are those who were already most vulnerable.  It was people who have less education and fewer skills who have been harmed the most.  The numbers in this chart do a lot to show that this is the case.

In general, it is the people with the least education who have ended up being hurt by the crisis and the recession.  These are the people who have become unemployed at rates much higher than the rates for those people who have education.  This has been particularly true since one of the hardest hit sectors has been the construction sector.  With fewer people buying new houses, construction workers, many with little education, have been badly hurt.

Although things have been bad for many people in many different demographic categories, they have been worst for those with little education.
