There are quite a few organs in the human body responsible for a variety of tasks, so for simplicity I will focus on the vital organs that are necessary for life:

Brain  - located in the skull

Heart - about the size of a fist and is located in the center of the chest beneath the rib cage

Kidneys - located towards the back of the abdominal cavity at the bottom of the rib cage

Liver - located in the mid abdominal just above the kidneys, but in the front of the body

Lungs - located in the chest beneath the rib cage with one lung on either side of the heart

Other organs required for life, but not termed vital as death is not immediate or certain when they are damaged:

Spleen - located on the right side of the body next to the liver beneath the rib cage

Gallbladder - located on the left side of the body, adjacent to the spleen and just below the liver

Stomach - located in the center of the abdominal just below the rib cage

Pancreas - central, just above the stomach

Intestines - located in the lower abdominal below the stomach

Bladder - located at the end of the intestines in the lowest part of the torso
